Freddie Hubbard trumpet solo – The Night Has a Thousand Eyes

Posted on April 11, 2009 by Sweets

Want to hear a really great Jazz trumpet solo performed by Freddie Hubbard? I know you do. The thing I like best about the Freddie Hubbard’s trumpet solo is that it’s played so aggressively.  The Night Has a Thousand Eyes is the name of the tune.

Here is Freddie Hubbard on trumpet back in 1989 taking a ride on The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.

Is Freddie Hubbard the best or what? I will never get tired of this solo.

He is awesome on this great tune. I also love his much shorter solo on Oliver Nelson’s Stolen Moments, on the “Blues and the Astract Truth” LP, which also has a beautiful tenor solo by ON and a superb flute solo by Eric Dolphy.
