Leroy Jones at the 2009 Satchmo Summer Festival in New Orleans

One of the best things about living in New Orleans is that you get the chance to see a lot of great Jazz musicians while you're there. This last weekend I had the great opportunity to see Leroy Jones perform live at the 2009 Satchmo Summer Festival. Leroy Jones definitely has a very unique sound on the trumpet. His trumpet sound is very light and mellow, yet he busts out a lot of great licks through that horn. I took the opportunity to record some of Leroy Jones' trumpet solos on my iPhone while I was at the Jazz festival. I hope you enjoy them.
