I think Berigan was the best jazz trumpet player of his day and almost any other day.He could inprovise on a boring tune and make it interesting to hear.Of course i am a little bit bias,he was my grandfather, i am happy to write.I also like clifford Brown,Louis,BIX James,Roy,Marslis,Jabba Smith,Shavers and blue mitchel. But bunny when i listen to his music had emotion that hit me, more then a lot of others. His playing can make me cry at times. Not because he is my Grandfather. But because of something that came from his heart and pour out of the bell of his trumpet.
