I was reading your modern day trumpet player thread. I recently started hearing Christian Scott. Could he be one interesting modern day trumpet player? Dou you reckon he still is too young to make a contribution to music? Is he just part of industry and we should listen less to magazine? What do you think?

My English is a bit rusty...please, keep it simple

I'm enjoying his music a lot...and probably will keep hearing him. I quite like him

Good player, I think he's got a chance to do a lot in the Jazz world.

Favorite trumpet solo ever -- They don't call me "Sweets" because I play sweet, they call me "Sweets" because I like to eat sweets.

Of course we could go deeper and discuss what is to make a contribution to music. There many ways of contributing. Making everyone else play is one of the best ways of contributing I can think off.

Christian Scott "Every now and again there comes an artist who captures your interest from the very first prodigious note that is made. As if by osmosis, their music is absorbed into the very essence of your extra sensory perceptive personified mind. That is exactly what trumpeter Christian Scott has done on his debut release".  Smiley
